Australian Ecosystems workplace farm

We believe workplace farms should be a thing, so The Sustainable Landscape Company designed and built a highly productive, compact demonstration workplace farm for their staff group at their nursery. The farm features around 60 water efficient Biofilta Foodcube advanced wicking beds made in Melbourne. The farm will produce around 1 tonne of fresh produce per annum for their staff group, which promises to make a significant contribution to reducing food bills and improving nutrition.

Frankston City Council

A recent collaboration between Biofilta Pty Ltd and the Frankston City Council has completed a huge win for the local businesses, the community and the environment.The Foodcube is made using recycled plastic (previously, food grade polypropylene) and holds 110lt of water in the base of the unit to provide nutrients to the plants as they require. Not only is the Foodcube diverting plastic waste from landfill but it provides up to 30kg of produce per year from each Foodcube which assists with providing families in need with fresh produce.

Athol Road Primary School Garden

Biofilta has been working with Athol Road Primary school since the start of 2018 to build a state of the art urban farm with our wicking beds. We started out by installing our Foodwall systems in 2018 and then upgraded their farm to our Foodcube systems in 2019. The video below provides a great insight into how Biofilta wicking beds can help your school reach its food growing potential. The photos depict our more recent installation of the Foodcube.

Glen Junor Community Farm

We are very happy with this first stage of a demonstration urban farm at Glen Junor in Gisborne, north of Melbourne. This demonstration farm was designed and built by The Sustainable Landscape Company and features 60 Foodcubes, composting areas, a refurbished farm shed, custom built fencing, screens, fruit trees and herb plantings.
