Closing the bottom of the Elevated Rolling Bed is an innovative wicking cell system. A wicking cell is a self-contained irrigation system that collects excess water, and redistributes it to your plants over time, meaning you can water less often.

Soil fills the wicking cell top, and your plants’ roots will grow out through the slots in the sides of the plugs. When watered from the top, excess water drips through the open slots and collects in the tray below for the roots of your plants to draw from as needed.
